Clean up build (#1572)

Browse Source 
Fixes #1564. Also copies vendordep JSONs to the examples as advised by
Thad. Removes unused shared/javacpp/setupBuild.gradle. Also removes
unnecessary `chmod +x gradlew` from CI workflows.
